patch . help my muse patch up a wound .
Guess he got careless in the fight but it was worth it if it means he protected someone, especially a fellow shepherd. Plus, it was not that deep but still if it was not looked after his arm could get infected and that’s the last thing he wants is to lose one of his arms.
Once he was able to snuck around, he tried to apply some pressure to stop the bleeding then cut off some of his cape to wrap around his left arm. Thankfully, his pauldron did make his injury less critical.
Being alerted to some noises, he quickly brandished his sword and waited to see who was coming and it was none other than the female dark mage. “Tharja!” relief washed over him since he was not honestly ready to tussle with someone.
“Why’re you here? Shouldn’t you be in the rear?” a quick comeback from her to cut his questioning to point at his arm. Apparently, she followed the blood trail and found him. She commented on knowing that it was him (perhaps she was just pulling his leg) which was concerning to how she found that out but nothing he can comment on with how she looked--as always, ready to hex someone.
The dark mage went on how bad his arm will be, very colorfully and vividly, had he continued on without proper medical care. “Er, yes that could erm ..happen. Anyway, we should fall back-- huh? Yes, I heard you but--” more sharp comebacks from her and he fell silent. She is telling the truth; if he did not take care of his arm, it will effect him during the battle. The least thing she can do now for him is a quick first aid until one of the healers is around.
“Right ... apologies, Tharja. Thank you,” he sat down to let her do her thing. One might question how can he be relaxed to have someone tend to him this close when she was with the enemy not long time ago. Chrom is not an idiot who would just hand his neck to anyone but she had plenty of chances to strike him down prior to this point and she didn’t. Not to mention, he cannot see the merit in killing him from her point. If anything, she does not want to draw much attention to herself, let alone kill the king of ylisse.
It didn’t take long before she was done. “Thank you, friend. Now, we should head back. Let’s go!”
